Ethical Leadership - The experience of JCU's 3rd IBD cohort

MBA Hungary - Krisztina Ola

1.       Ethical decision making has come to light in Hungary on in the last few years, because of the economic recession. We always had ethical problems in public administration, you hear a lot about a company at government offices, state owned companies, etc. Changes move forward slowly.

2.       As a student of communication management master, the center of my curriculum contains more courses with ethical issues. This semester I had a media and ethics class, next semester I am going to have a class on media law and regulation. During my studies in Hungary I did have a single course with ethics. I learned only about the philosophy of ethics, but from a much more theoretical, historical point of view.

3.       I faced ethical challenges during my experience in Hungary. Sometimes it was not so easy to adapt my personal ethical values to the corporate values and ethical guidelines.
